RTW #67: Picking Titles
by Brandi Ziegler
The difference between the right word and the almost right word is the difference between lightning and a lightning bug.
YA Highway asked an intriguing question for their Road Trip Wednesday this week.
How do you pick your titles?
I don’t bother with titles until my first draft is finished. For the majority of my titles, I simply use phrases from the chapters. For example, I have a YA Contemporary MS called LEAST FAVORITE PLACE. This phrase from my first chapter fits the entire concept of LFP.
Check out the other answers on YA Highway and post your own. I’m really interested in your strategies.
